Shay was born in East Vancouver and raised by a single father. When Shay was 13, her father developed a drug addiction that forced her out of the family home – and down a tumultuous path. Years later, a full scholarship to a culinary arts program would change her life. Shay has worked in Gastown for several years and moved into the area about one year ago.
